Itinerary

Land at Julius Nyerere International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a short city tour or relax by the ocean before heading into the wild.

Fly to Selous (Nyerere National Park), one of Africa’s largest protected areas. Settle into your camp and enjoy an evening boat safari on the Rufiji River, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and birds.

Venture into the bush with a full-day game drive. Selous is home to lions, leopards, elephants, and even rare African wild dogs. Stop for a bush lunch and return to camp for a sunset bonfire.

Experience a guided walking safari with a ranger, learning about tracks, trees, and small wildlife. In the afternoon, visit a local village to learn about life in the bush.

Take a scenic flight to Ruaha, Tanzania’s largest national park. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive upon arrival — this is prime big-cat country.

Enjoy a full day exploring Ruaha's rugged terrain. Look for lions, elephants, buffalo, kudu, and over 500 bird species. Optional sundowner at a scenic viewpoint.

Have a relaxed morning before flying from Ruaha to Mafia Island via Dar. Arrive and transfer to your eco-lodge near the beach. Evening free to explore.

Set out on a guided boat tour to snorkel with whale sharks — gentle giants found seasonally near Mafia. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the beach.

Visit Mafia Island Marine Park for incredible coral reefs, dolphins, turtles, and tropical fish. This is a diver’s paradise and a snorkeler’s dream.

Visit a local fishing village to learn about island culture. In the evening, sail on a traditional dhow boat during sunset with snacks and drinks.

Relax at your eco-lodge, enjoy optional massage or kayaking, or swim in the lagoon.
